Europe Leans on Chemical Industry to Reduce Carbon Footprint

According to an article by Chemical and Engineering News (C&EN), Europe is looking to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by at least 55% by 2030. Europe’s chemical industry reports that they will need significant public funding in order to make this goal achievable, as European chemical experts say the wave of new impending costs will hit just as the industry struggles to recuperate from the challenges posed by the pandemic.
