As several consecutive major world events have interrupted supply chains beyond normal reconfiguration parameters, ICIS maintains that there is as a silver lining: positive changes in business infrastructure as priorities shift from globalization to sustainability. Global events have forced companies, specifically in the energy, pharma and chemical industries, to reinvest in themselves in order to move forward by reshoring and taking advantage of “Build Back Better” programs.
