How the “New Normal” Will Change Supply Chains

An article by the Independent Commodity Intelligence Service (ICIS) notes that America, as well as the rest of the world, will be entering the era known as “The New Normal”. As several consecutive major world events have interrupted supply chains beyond normal reconfiguration parameters, ICIS maintains that there is as a silver lining: positive changes in business infrastructure as priorities shift from globalization to sustainability. Global events have forced companies, specifically in the energy, pharma and chemical industries, to reinvest in themselves in order to move forward by reshoring and taking advantage of “Build Back Better” programs.
