TCC Bryant Alumni Volunteers as Bryant University Alumni Mentor

The Chemical Company’s Digital Marketing Coordinator Ben Sawicki volunteered as an alumni mentor at Bryant University’s 2018 IDEA Program. Ben is a ’16 graduate of Bryant University, located in Smithfield, RI.

Bryant University’s IDEA Program is a 3-day immersive learning program mandatory for all freshman and first-year Bryant students. Students are grouped into 35 cohorts, and further broken down into four or five teams per cohort. Each cohort is assigned a project, ranging from gas stations to ski shops, with a goal of improving usability, revenues and customer experiences. IDEA stands for Innovation and Design Experience for All.

Ben, as well as ’15 Alumni Brent Lavitt sat in on cohort 18, working with a local Rhode Island ski and snowboard shop to increase revenues and the overall customer experience in a relatively seasonal business model.
